Here's another new submission from Riecine, and this time it is an IGT expression of Sangiovese. The 2019 Riecine di Riecine shows wild fruit over a streamlined approach with lots of freshly milled pepper, both white and black. The wine obviously flaunts its cool-climate origins and offers an interesting interpretation of the grape in which freshness is front and center. Only 4,000 bottles were made, topped with white wax capsules.

The 2019 Riecine di Riecine, 100% Sangiovese, is a very pretty, classy wine. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, mint and orange peel give this translucent, expressive 2019 lovely complexity and nuance to match its mid-weight personality.
