Tasting notes
The 2012 Chambertin Grand Cru is cut from a similar cloth to the Latricieres-Chambertin – fragrant raspberry and wild strawberry fruit with hints of marmalade and orange rind. The palate is very well-balanced and shows a little more...determination than the Latricieres as it revels in a beautifully poised, dark cherry, cranberry and soy-tinged finish. Long and tender in the mouth, this Chambertin has both class and sophistication. Importer: no known US importer but available through Berry Brothers & Rudd and Justerini & Brooks in the UK.

Mid cherry red. Refined, pure and lightly peppery dark-red fruit. Lean but not thin. Fine tannins and a lively savoury/juicy finish. (JH)
