Deep ruby. Assertive aromas of ripe dark berries, licorice, potpourri and smoky minerals. Sappy, sweet and concentrated, showing impressive depth and energy to the black raspberry, cherry liqueur and violet pastille flavors. A peppery nuance builds slowly and adds lift and bite to a strikingly long finish, shaped by late-arriving tannins that meld smoothly with the densely packed dark fruit.
