Tasting notes
The 2017 Brut Rosé is from the L'Argillier parcel in Ville-sur-Arce and a pure Pinot Noir, from foot-trodden grapes macerated for 24 hours. This deep pink wine brims with cherry and overtones of Amarena. The palate has that same supremely aromatic Amarena edge, drawing you deeper into the undoubtedly rich and rounded fruit. A most intriguing rosé with a soft, fine, creamy mousse, a phenolic allure that almost hints at licorice and a rounded body. This plays masterfully with this element of bitterness, walking a tightrope of what is just about possible for a rosé wine before it becomes a red. That flicker of licorice surfaces again on the extended, full-flavored finish. Most unusual and totally compelling. Dosage is 7gr/L. Disgorged: November 16, 2019. - Anne Krebiehl MW
