Score 91/100 · Drink 2022-2029, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2022
The 2017 Langhe Rosso is a blend of young vines (in both Barolo and Barbaresco) which means under 25 years of age here! Sweet and wonderfully perfumed, the Langhe Rosso is an absolute delight. Dried red cherry, kirsch, mint, cinnamon and a touch of orange peel are beautifully lifted in an ethereal, silky Langhe Rosso that will drink well upon release. Like the Barbera, the Langhe Rosso is a touch forward in 2017, a reflection of the warm, dry year.

About the producer

Roagna
Roagna is one of Italy’s finest estates, producing top, single-vineyard Nebbiolos in Barbaresco and Barolo. The estate’s Crichët Pajé Barbaresco is one of the rarest fine wine cuvées in Piedmont with fewer than 2,000 bottles produced each year.
