Score 95/100 · Drink 2014-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, May 2014
This cask sample of 1952 has a precocious bouquet with rounded mulberry, cocoa, leather and dried honey that opens beautifully in the glass. The palate is harmonious with fine acidity: plenty of fig and espresso notes with a nicely focused finish and a dash of white pepper on the aftertaste. This shows great potential – a Rivesaltes that is brimming with possibility. Drink now-2025+

Not yet bottled. Dark brownish fox red. Warm, round and very comfortable on the nose. Oxford marmalade. A little tough on the end. Vibrant on the finish. (JR)
