2019 Vosne Romanee Les Rouges Dessus

The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges du Dessus 1er Cru is very attractive on the nose. Cut from a similar cloth as Dujac's Malconsorts, this is beautifully defined and ample in both mineralité and Pinoté . It just sashays along with style and panache. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins and hints of allspice and pain d'epices . Harmonious toward the finish, with a lingering spicy aftertaste, this is very classy and will mature with style and grace. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
