Tasting notes
Full screwcapped, specially embossed bottle 1,305 g. Unoaked blend of old vines: 72% Grenache, 23% Mataro (Mourvèdre) and 5% Shiraz from many vineyards with an age of 40 to 150 years. Picked 3 March to 12 April. Pale ruby. Crunchy, well-integrated blend without too much alcohol obvious on the nose – despite the potency! Sweet and round as it enters the palate with a certain salty juiciness. The alcohol kicks in on the end and there's a bit of smooth tannin. Pretty seamless. Could be a perfect, rather luxurious, barbecue wine? The wine has structure as well as quite complex, spicy fruit. The flavours remind me of dunked Gypsy Cream biscuits. (JR)

A tank-aged blend of 72% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre and 5% Shiraz, the 2019 Cuvee Juveniles features notes of red raspberries and cherries lightly dusted with hints of cinnamon, clove and allspice. Medium to full-bodied, it's a smooth and supple, easy-to-drink—almost chuggable—wine for near-term enjoyment.
