2017 Riesling de Riquewihr

The 2017 R. R. Q. W. R. is a dry Riesling from Riquewihr that opens with a clear, precise and flinty/fresh bouquet of white, intensely scented Riesling berries, lemons and crushed stones. Dry and astringent on the palate, this is a juicy, savory and more crystalline Riesling than the calcareous twin from Beblenheim. The acidity is sharp and clear and intermingled with saline notes. This is Riesling for Riesling geeks. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in January 2023.
