Score 92/100 · Drink 2023-2035, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2023

Barthelmé's 2018 Riesling Grand Cru Furstentum is clear on the dense and fruity-mineral nose that shows ripe and healthy, very concentrated fruit intertwined with saline limestone notes. Powerful. Fresh and vital on the first palate, this is a full-bodied, rich and concentrated Fürstentum Riesling with a long, intense and saline but also quite tannic finish. The wine is slowly starting to mature already and is a bit drying on the finish and aftertaste. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in January 2023.
