2017 Wintricher Riesling 20 18

Juicy, ripe, piquantly pit-inflected white peach is anticipated on the nose, along with a bittersweet floral note that persists inner-mouth. There is lushness on the palate that comes as a shock after the firm, lean corresponding Piesporter. Animating brightness of lime and white peach are complemented by underlying stoniness on a finish of impressive length and exceptional clarity. (While not so radically dry as its Piesporter counterpart, this is legally trocken . But in keeping with estate practice, that is not noted on the label.)
