Tasting notes
The 2019 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru builds on the promise that I found last year, offering vivacious scents of pineapple, tinned peach and crushed stone; hints of lime emerge with time in the glass. The palate is well balanced, taut and fresh, with fine delineation, and quite saline on the finish, which leaves a lingering spiciness in the mouth. This is very assured and should age well in bottle.

The 2019 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru was cropped at 25hl/ha and matured in used barrels, blended after 10 months, although it will not be bottled until next year. It has a primal bouquet of fresh pineapple and mandarin. The palate is ripe and slightly waxy in texture, already demonstrating good weight and a dash of lemongrass on the finish. Good potential, but I can understand why this is going through a long élevage , because it needs time to knit together.
