Cask sample. Paler than the Clos du Roi! Rather charming red-cherry fruit but not grand cru concentration. Well, maybe a very typical Corton… Dry finish after a sweet start. (JR)

The 2020 Corton Grand Cru is de-stemmed and sees 25% new oak. It has a well-defined bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit, quite focused and poised. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, a little sinew here with a slight lactic finish at the moment. Fine, though it needs just a tad more tension.
