2019 Nuits St Georges Les Chaignots

The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, plus a dusting of dark chocolate and damp undergrowth; gentle and attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Fleshy toward the finish, delivering tart red fruit, this will be one of Gouge’s more approachable cuvées and should drink well for 12–15 years.
