Score 96/100 · James Suckling, Oct 2021
Wild aromas of dried watermelon, cherries, flowers, salt, lightly dried mushrooms and toffee. Medium-to full-bodied and off-dry. Beautiful finish, yet not very sweet. Salted caramel. and toffee. Tangy and vivid. Turns nutty. A unique fortified wine from new Lisbon and virtually not made anymore. This was a one-off bottling from the owner of Howard’s Folly, Howard Bilton. Only 5,000 bottles. Drink or hold.
