The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has a wonderful bouquet, quite crystalline in terms of purity, delineated with mineral-rich red cherries and strawberry fruit. The oak is seamlessly integrated here. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, a keen line of acidity, and fresh with a blood orange and allspice seam. The lovely caressing finish doesn't shortchange you on the structure and potential longevity. A sophisticated Vosne-Romanée. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has a classy bouquet with dark cherries, raspberry and violets scents, quintessential Les Beaux Monts. Very good vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, taut and fresh with a very precise finish. Good backbone here, certainly with more depth than the Aux Brûlées on the finish. Superb.
Cask sample. Deep ruby; red-cherry and black-raspberry fruit; linear and quite succulent; high-toned acidity. Very fine with exceptional balance and very elegant, refined tannins. (MH)
