Derived from four parcels, together amounting to some 1.10 hectares, the 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Les Cents Vignes reveals aromas of dark berries, plums, warm spices, cracked pepper and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and concentrated, it's deep and sensual, with refined tannins and a long, saline finish.

The 2020 Beaune Les Cents Vignes 1er Cru, which is 50% de-stemmed, has a lively bouquet, earthier than David Croix’s other cuvées, delineated with a light tobacco scent surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with gritty tannins, quite structured with that whole bunch quite vocal on the finish. Give this 4-5 years in bottle to meld together.
