The 2020 Marsannay Les Longeroies is a touch more reserved out of the gates than the Clos du Roy, unwinding in the glass with notes of wild berries, red plums, vine smoke, spices, peonies and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's deep and concentrated, with powdery tannins and a chalky finish.

Cask sample. Very deep crimson. Spicy (cinnamon?) nose. Lots of fruit and not too much tannin. Rather charming really, and VGV . Long. Not thick. With polished tannins and acid well in balance. Not for the long term but lots of medium-term pleasure. (JR)
The 2020 Marsannay Les Longeroies offers baked cherries, sous-bois and light meaty aromas on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with gritty tannins, a little rustic in style, and this attenuates towards the finish. Should be better.
