The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is excellent, unwinding in the glass with notes of pear, citrus zest, fresh bread, white flowers and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's elegantly muscular, with a satiny attack and a long, precise finish.

0.85-hectare blend of two parcels, with the majority of the blend coming from Le Charlemagne. Tank sample. Savoury and lively with great bite and tension. Much more so than many other wines from this appellation. Should age well. (JR)
