Tasting notes
Made from 100% Pinot Noir from the single parcel of Val Vilaine in Celles sur Ource in the Côte de Bars, the 2019 Champagne Blanc de Noirs Côte de Val Vilaine lifts with fresh wet stone, smoky incense, plum, and frangipane. It is richly textured with a fine mousse and unfolds with kirsch, grapefruit pith, and salty mineral earth. Savory and ripe, it has fantastic balance and impressive complexity. Drink 2022-2037.

The 2019 Blanc de Noirs Val Vilaine is rich, ample and so expressive. The 2019 captures all of the radiance of the vintage in this open-knit, voluptuous expression. Pear, baked apple, dried flowers, chamomile and spice build into the racy, opulent finish. Don't miss it. No dosage. Disgorged: 2021.
Cédric Bouchard's NV Blanc de Noirs Côte de Val Vilaine (2019) is beautiful, wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, green apple, clear honey, fresh bread, almond paste, white flowers and mirabelle plum. Medium to full-bodied, layered and vinous, it's satiny and textural, with an enveloping core of fruit, superb concentration and incisive acids. Chiseled and penetrating, it concludes with a long, saline finish.
