Tasting notes
Refined and lightly leesy nose. Quite perfumed. Citrus, lemon cream, not unlike one of the richer Pulignys. Chalky, long finish. Showing very well now! (JR)

The 2020 Chardonnay Estate offers purity, balance and restraint. Everything is proportionate here, with just the right amount of concentrated flesh on the mid-palate and a lovely momentum through the wine, thanks to the line of acidity that courses through it and provides direction and length. Enjoy now or over the coming ten years.
The 2020 Estate Chardonnay is taut and salty, with a very fine spool of acid, fruit and phenolics that weave over the palate. A gorgeous wine, it's quiet and composed. Really great—what a joy. 13.5% alcohol sealed under screw cap.
Whole-bunch pressed, eight weeks in burgundy barrels (20% new), malo. Aged 11 months in barrel on lees without racking. Bottled April 2021. RS 2 g/l, TA 6 g/l, pH 3.15, SO 2 total 134 mg/l, free 38 mg/l. Screwcap. Pure citrus – both grapefruit and lemon – with a slight smoky/reductive note. Gorgeous mix of vineyard/fruit purity and careful winemaking. Deep, long, creamy and fresh. A way to go. GV (JH)
