The 2007 Syrah IX Estate is full-bodied and opulent, yet still holds onto a beautiful sense of purity and elegance. Smoked darker berries, ground pepper, truffly earth, and hints of iron all make an appearance in the bouquet, and this beauty has a stacked mid-palate as well as well as integrated tannins. It’s fully mature yet will evolve gracefully going forward.

This is very earthy and spicy with hints of smoke and tea. Full-bodied, round and juicy. Holding on beautifully. Soft and decadent.
Saturated dark red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice are accented by dried herbs and mocha. Savory, tactile and highly concentrated, offering outstanding precision to its complex flavors of dark raspberry, licorice, flint, smoke, beef brisket and black olive. Really remarkable retention of primary fruit for a ten-year-old California Syrah. At once salty and energetic, this beauty finishes with incredibly plush tannins and palate-staining length. (ST) 95+
