Score 90/100 · Drink 2020-2026, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2020
Offering up demonstrative aromas of pear, buttered citrus fruit and fresh pastry, the 2018 Rully En Villerange is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with an invitingly fleshy attack, lively acids and fine depth at the core. It's a generous but well-balanced Rully that's already drinking well.

Cask sample. The acidity is present and backing up a lovely core of fruit that seems very pure and well put together. An easy and very appealing wine. (AC)

Barrel sample (one racking). Spicy oak overlaying the herby, ripe green fruits. Mealy and open. Quite marked by the oak at the moment but there’s enough fruit to hold the centre ground. (JH)
