Tasting notes
An almost understated fragrance benefits from a bit of airing to reveal glimpses of yellow fruit, floral nuances and a refreshing herbal breeze. The palate is a little less shy and impresses with the truly juicy fruit of peach, nectarine and grapefruit, before salty minerality and vibrant acidity give a cooler dimension to the flavour. A herbal piquancy adds further sophistication. (MS)

From a plot inside the Mandelgarten, Christmann's 2019 Meerspinne GG is deep, fine and pure on the complex and stony nose. Round and juicy on the palate, this is an intense and juicy, very complex and sustainable Riesling cru with fine salinity, a seamless and chalky texture and with remarkable finesse and vitality. There are lemon flavors and chalky notes on the firm and persistent finish. Very promising. Tasted shortly after the bottling in April 2020. To be released in September this year.
