The 2020 Villars feels just a tad overripe on the nose compared to its peers with prune-tinged black fruit. The palate is sweet and ripe on the entry with grainy tannins. Nothing complex here, a touch of dark chocolate towards the finish, though it just feels a bit…predictable.
The 2020 Villars is bold, juicy and super-expressive right out of the gate. A blast of blackberry jam, chocolate, new leather, incense and cloves saturates the palate. This opulent, flamboyant wine will be easy to drink and enjoy upon release.
The 2020 Villars is packed with blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice and sweet spice. Bold and dense to the core, it has plenty to offer in an immediate, lush style that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
