Score 87/100 · Drink 2019-2026, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The maiden release, the 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village, comes from purchased fruit and vinified at the Duroché winery. It has an attractive bouquet, a mixture of red and blueberry fruit, just a touch of damp undergrowth emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, charming if maybe just missing a little substance and grip towards the easy-going finish. Drink over the next five or six years.

About the producer

Domaine Duroche
Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
