Score 93-95/100 · Drink 2025-2050, Neal Martin, Dec 2020
The 2019 Musigny Grand Cru, from a site adjacent to the white vines of de Vogüé, contains 25% whole bunch this year and is aged entirely in new wood. It has a tightly wound bouquet, nicely focused yet sultry at the moment, prior to racking. The palate is elegant on the entry and soaks up the new wood more efficiently than the previous Grand Crus from the domaine. Silky in texture, it feels quite dense and persistent, though clams up toward the finish.
