Tasting notes
The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Champ offers bright black cherries and crushed violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. A breezy, unassuming Gevrey Champ with a lovely silky finish. It just misses a little grip, but it will certainly be difficult to resist in its youth.

Pierre’s grandfather was from Brochon so many of the parcels are in the north of the appellation. Tank sample. Pure and fresh. Juicy and lively with real fruity conviction. The fruit is just about a match for the acid level. Nice bright fruit. (JR)
About the producer

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
