The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru has a perfumed bouquet with lemon thyme, orange pith and dried honey aromas. It has an appealing purity though it needs to exude a little more mineralité . The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly honeyed opening. Fine acidity here, tangy orange rind and hints of marmalade define the finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Give it a couple of years in bottle.
