2019 Chardonnay Baracca

The 2019 Chardonnay Baracca slowly blossoms in the glass, at first pretty and floral, yet gaining richness over time through a display of dried peaches, raw honey and sweet cream. It’s textures are like pure silk, weighty yet balanced, as the 2019 seems to hover upon the senses with ripe apple and pear offset by hints of sour citrus. This is so tightly wound up and painfully young today, turning quite inward and coy through the finale, yet with a saturation of primary fruits, a mineral twang and hints of custard lingering long. I tasted this over the course of three days, and it only became prettier each time I revisited it.
