A new wine in this range, 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Peterson Family Vineyard packs a serious punch. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, spice, new leather and licorice give this brooding, backward Cabernet tons of character and complexity. Huge, muscular tannins wrap around it all, adding to a feeling of gravitas. The 2018 is not exactly subtle, but it certainly has a lot to offer.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Peterson Family Vineyard displays a deep garnet-purple color, opening with expressive notes of warm black and red currants, black cherry compote, blackberry preserves and lilacs with nuances of chargrill, fragrant earth and tapenade. The full-bodied palate is concentrated, featuring taut, muscular black fruit and earthy layers and a firm frame of sturdy tannins, finishing long and savory.
