Tasting notes
Glass-staining ruby. Expressive cherry, cassis, pipe tobacco and vanilla scents on the intensely perfumed nose; a smoky mineral overtone builds with air. Fleshy red and dark fruit liqueur, floral pastille, licorice and exotic spice flavors are supported by a core of zesty acidity and become sweeter with aeration. Delivers a compelling blend of depth and vivacity, finishing juicy and extremely persistent, with harmonious tannins and lingering cherry and floral qualities.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up attractive aromas of sage, bay leaf, cassis and red bell pepper. Streamlined and smooth in the mouth, it's only medium-bodied, without the depth and richness expected in most Cabernet Sauvignon. It's a crisp, elegant wine, balanced in its proportions yet lacking drama. I suspect it will age well up to 15 years yet never really blossom or flesh out beyond where it is today.
