Classic Meursault aromas of soft citrus fruits and hazelnut. Rich, sweet and suave, with soft citrus fruit, lemon, hazelnut and vanilla flavors supported by a solid stony backbone. Conveys an impression of volume without any undue weight. A textbook Meursault with lovely persistence. (From barrel, it was the Tillets that stood out, but today this Tessons is clearly superior.)

From a demi-muid: Slightly reduced aromas of lemon, crushed rock and hazelnut. Rich in the middle, then firm, minerally and long on the back. From a piece: Orange, spice and hazelnut on the nose, also with a touch of reduction. Supple and lush in the mouth, but currently showing less detail and personality than the first sample, and not yet aromatic. But this has good depth. Yet a third sample was more perfumed and less reduced.
