Tasting notes
The 2018 Chablis Mont de Mlieu has a clean, fresh, slightly chalky nose that shows more precision and terroir expression than the Montée de Tonnerre. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry, taut and fresh, though just missing a little complexity and mineralité on the finish.

Offering up aromas of crisp green apple, pear, spring blossom and wet stones, the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu is medium to full-bodied, delicately textural and incisive, with lively acids and a chalky finish. It has turned out well.
Tank sample. Stony and mineral. Lovely fresh pear fruit. Taut, fine-grained, elegant freshness. Not particularly intense but balanced. (JH)
Cream, yellow apple and a floral note suggest a forwardness, but the palate has very lively, brisk acidity that perhaps needs a year or two for the palate to fill out and balance. Medium-long to long. (TJ)
