The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles wafts from the glass with notes of orange oil, clear honey, white peach and spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied, it's satiny and precise, with fine depth at the core and a saline finish.

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Macherelles 1er Cru comprises two barrels, both used. It has a fragrant bouquet of apple blossom, fresh pear and light nettle aromas that develop nicely in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry. This has a taut line of acidity that counters the richness on the finish. Good potential.
