Tasting notes
The 2015 Corton les Renardes Grand Cru has a composed bouquet, here the fruit profile a little darker than the Corton Maréchaudes, though just as delineated and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannin on the entry. There is plenty of crunchy red and black fruit here, not as elegant as Maréchaudes, but clearly with good structure on the finish. What a superb 2015 Corton from Michel Mallard.

The 2015 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru has an earthy, dried-blood-scented bouquet with irony red berry fruit—a little rustic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, showing notes of black cherry mixed with Earl Grey, fine delineation, and good weight on the finish. Now's not the time to drink this, but it has potential.
