Tasting notes
Floral and herbal, with pretty red fruits as well as subtle notes of cumin, celery seed, leather, and spice, the 2019 Château Mangot is medium-bodied on the palate, with a supple, elegant mouthfeel, ripe yet nicely integrated tannins, and outstanding length. It's going to keep for 15 years or more.

Bursting from the glass with notes of plus, sweet red berries and hints of licorice, the 2019 Mangot is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with beautifully powdery tannins and a succulent core of fruit. Giving, charming and lively, it has turned out very well. Traditional barriques are complemented by amphorae in the chai.
The 2019 Mangot seems to have shut down a little on the nose compared to its showing from barrel, still offering those raspberry and red currant aromas, but quite contained for the moment. The palate is fleshy and ripe on the entry, still quite loose-knit, yet well balanced, with a light pepperiness toward the finish. Not long-term, but a very decent Saint-Émilion.
