Tasting notes
Brilliant orange-pink. Sharply focused strawberry, nectarine and orange zest scents, along with building floral and mineral notes. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering fresh red berry, blood orange and lavender flavors braced by a core of juicy acidity. The floral note repeats strongly on the persistent finish, which leaves a hint of bitter orange zest behind. - Josh Raynolds

On the back of the squat, transparent flask is the message 'Mise en bouteille par Jolie-Pitt & Perrin'. This is another celebrity wine, made by the Perrins of Ch Beaucastel, La Vieille Ferme etc and blessed by Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt, even if they are no longer a couple. The usual very pale salmon pink. A little sweeter than some of the other rosés reviewed here. Decent enough commercial stuff with light strawberry fruit but not as sophisticated nor as appetising as the Porte Noire 2019 selected by fellow actor Idris Elba. Seems a tad overpriced to me. (JR)
Hints of passion fruit give a vibrant, youthful edge to the other scents of pink grapefruit and lime in Miraval's 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose. It's medium-bodied, with pretty straightforward, citrusy flavors and a crisp, refreshing finish. For those who don't know, this is the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie property being managed in partnership with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel, but this bottling also incorporates non-estate fruit.
