Tasting notes
Translucent straw-yellow. Mineral-accented orchard and pit fruits and a suggestion of chamomile on the nose. Densely packed but lithe in style, offering mineral-laced nectarine, pear and tangerine flavors that show fine definition and a spicy ginger nuance. The floral and mineral qualities carry through the incisive finish, which hangs on with strong tenacity.

From a high-altitude portion of the appellation around the Pic family residence, this barrel-fermented Marsanne displays scents of struck match, crushed stone and citrus fruit. The 2018 Saint Peray Lieu-dit Payrolles is marginally riper on the medium-bodied palate, hinting at tangerine and stone fruit, then finishes long, focused and crisp.
Similarly colored, the 2018 Saint-Péray Lieu-Dit Payrolles is a big step up, offering incredible notes of white peach, orange blossom, caramelized citrus, white flowers, spice, and salty minerality. With remarkable purity, full-bodied richness, and flawless balance, it's an incredible white wine and one of the gems from the appellation.
