Tasting notes
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Combe D'Orveau showed beautifully, with an elegant, endearing style carrying lots of cherry and blueberry fruits mixed with pretty floral and incense notes. With medium-bodied richness, seamless tannins, and terrific balance, this is a wine that grows on you with time in the glass. It's not a blockbuster, but the balance is spot on. Enjoy bottles any time over the coming 15 years.

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny la Combe d'Orveaux offers pretty, well-defined scents of dark cherry, bergamot and bay leaf aromas, not intense but elegant or "transparent," as they say. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit. I like the balance and oak integration. Very poised and fresh toward the elegant but persistent finish. Excellent.
