Tasting notes
The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières was more reserved, unwinding in the glass with a shy bouquet of pear, white flowers, clear honey and green apple. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, the outlines are promising, but the wine isn't yet fully formed.

Cask sample. Neat and nicely judged with the climat personality dominating that of the vintage. But it’s awfully expensive! Nice light matchstick character. (JR)
The 2018 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a more backward and sulky bouquet compared to the Poruzot Dessus. The palate is better with orange zest and quince on the entry, quite tight and precise, although it is missing some persistence compared to the aforementioned Premier Cru on the finish. A bit "abrupt".
