The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses bursts form the glass with a complex bouquet of wild berries, cherries, peony, cinnamon and smoke. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and fine-boned, with powdery and refined structuring tannins, lively acids and a fragrant core of fruit. I'd rank Domaine Faively's Chambolle-Musigny premiers crus above this négociant cuvée, despite the pedigree of the site, but it is a pretty wine in the making.
About the producer

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
