Tasting notes
Deep cherry red. Open and perfumed, full of pure red fruit – tangy and lively. Succulent, delicate and yet intense. Understated and gorgeous. Hard to give drink dates for this but why wait too long? (JH)

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts Doix 1er Cru includes 25% new oak and around 50% whole bunch and represented the first vines to be picked this vintage; the alcohol is under 13.0° at the moment. This has a beautifully defined, well-focused and quite mineral-driven bouquet packed full of blackberry and raspberry fruit. The palate is full of primal energy, the red fruit framed by succulent tannins that form an almost corpulent finish, which disguises the structure underneath. This is a superb Chambolle-Musigny from Groffier.
