Tasting notes
Pale, green-tinged straw. High-pitched citrus pith and floral aromas carry a chalky mineral overtone. Vibrant and sharply focused, offering green apple, pink grapefruit and honeysuckle flavors that deepen steadily with air. Shows a powerful mineral note on the incisive, impressively persistent finish, which leaves behind repeating citrus fruit and floral notes.

Green apple and lime notes appear on the nose of the 2019 Springvale Riesling. It's medium-bodied and a bit plump on the palate, balanced by a chalky texture, while hints of lemongrass impart a slightly green-herbal element on the lingering finish. Drink now or anytime over the next decade, depending on how mature you like your Aussie Rieslings.
Cold-cream nose and great juicy transparency on the palate. Lovely sleek wine that could (though shouldn't) be approached already. (JR)
