Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2018-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
The 2016 Puligny Montrachet Village was raised in 25% new oak with 30% raised in 400-liter barrels (Alain Chavy informed me that he is using more and more each year). It has a commendable, quite pure bouquet with touches of peach skin and dried honey. The palate is rounded on the entry with dried honey, a brush of ginger and a hint of sour lemon. I like the energy conveyed by this village cru and as such it comes recommended.
