Score 94/100 · Drink 2026-2045, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Jun 2022
From the vintage during which Weingut Donatsch turned 120 years old but lost a lot of fruit due to spring frost, the 2017 Pinot Noir Malans Unique offers an intense yet refined and aromatic bouquet with sweet red berry aromas intertwined with flinty and peppery notes and also some minty ones. Silky, round and fresh on the palate, this is a full-bodied but pure and tightly structured Pinot with salts and tension that might develop like the 2016. Very refreshing. 13.5% stated alcohol. Tasted from magnum in Zurich, April 2022.
