The 2018 Chablis Terroir de La Chapelle is airy, weightless and gracious. Orchard fruit, white flowers and mint come together nicely in this perfumed, understated Chablis from Patrick Piuze.

The 2018 Chablis Terroir de la Chapelle is also showing well, revealing a pretty bouquet of green apple, smoky citrus oil and marzipan, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample but incisive palate with chalky structuring extract and a saline finish. Sourced from outside La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne facing the premier cru Fourchaume, the vines were planted in 1974, in rows that are oriented east to west (meaning that the grapes never see direct sunlight).

Planted in 1959, this has a lighter and more elegant shape with quite rich fruit flesh. Peaches and mangoes here. Drink now.
