The 2018 Saint Veran "Lieu (Inter)dit" comes from Côte Rôtie near the village of Davayé. The effervescent bouquet springs from the glass with apple blossom, white fruit and hints of nectarine. This is beautifully defined. The medium-bodied palate displays a crisp line of acidity and feels supple in the mouth, taut and saline, with a very persistent finish. Superb.

Aromas of confit citrus, lemon oil and fresh peach mingling with notes of almond paste and honey introduce the 2018 Saint-Véran Lieu (Inter)dit, a medium to full-boded, ample and satiny wine with excellent concentration, a lively spine of acidity and a penetrating, elegantly saline finish. It's another superb rendition of this routinely excellent cuvée.
