Tasting notes
Villa Bastías is a corner of Tupungato that sits on top of a stony riverbed, home to this Chardonnay made in whole bunches and fermented and aged in French oak, a fifth of it new. Initial aromas of apple give way to subtle notes of ginger cookie, herbs and lemon zest over hints of hazelnut and oak. Complex with a full-bodied freshness and well-judged, creamy feel, the delicate range of flavors make for a lively passage in the mouth. A lovely, precisely calibrated 2014 Chardonnay Bramare Zingaretti from Paul Hobbs and Andrés Vignoni.
