Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2019-2032, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2016
The 2015 Croix Canon is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It has an intense bouquet for a deuxième vin: kirsch, a touch of cassis and iodine that soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite powerful dark berry fruit mixed with spice and clove. It gently grips the mouth, good backbone here, perhaps a Croix Canon that will actually benefit from 3-4 years in bottle to allow those tannins to mellow a little. In a word: serious. Seriously good.
